The Best Tweezers by Tweezerman.

30 Mar

Tweezing, should be effortless and quick.  Over the years, I’ve wasted so much money on replacing my dull (and uneven) tweezers, until I decided to give Tweezerman a try.  The price was a bit higher than the generic tweezer, but I was so frustrated with my cheapy pair,  I had to give it a try.

I was really blown away at the precision and results achieved.  I was able to even grab the tiniest hair follicle.  I have a mini one for travel, and a full sized one for home.  It’s been over 5 years, and my Tweezermans’ are still doing their job.  I must admit, it’s really tempting to pick up another one, since they always come out with new cute limited edition colors/patterns.  =)

For this beauty item, it’s better to splurge.  You really get what you pay for!   Every gal needs at least one pair!

The Spring “it” Color for Nail Polish

24 Mar

Kim Kardashian was recently photographed wearing a similar color polish, so we had to dash over to the local apothecary to find a similar shade.  After 15 minutes of browsing around hundreds of polish colors, we chose ISNT THAT PRECIOUS? by OPI. We love, love, love, how it turned out!

Your manicure will instantly look luxurious, healthy, natural, w/a hint of pink.  Since the color is pretty light, make sure to do 2 coats to get the full effect.  Save $$$ this year, and do your own mani/pedi.

Skincare Product Review: Shu Uemura Beauty Oil

20 Mar

When it comes to Shu Uemura’s Beauty Oil, I’m definitely a veteran.  I admit, I’ve tried cheating a few times with different cleansers, but somehow I always find myself crawling back to Shu.

It’s an easy one-step cleanser, that works quickly and gently with removing all of my make-up, including eye liner, eyelash glue, and waterproof mascara.  It leaves my skin feeling refreshed, and never dry.  I have been using this product for over 10 yrs.  Available @ Shu Uemura boutiques, Neiman Marcus, and Nordstroms.

Beauty tip: Olive oil works as a luxurious hand moisturizer!

11 Mar

I’m a big snob when it comes to hand creams, balms, lotions, but I recently discovered (by accident) that extra virgin olive oil is amazing for your hands!  As an avid cook, I’m always busy in the kitchen, so naturally, I’m washing my hands like a million times.  Even when I lather on an expensive lotion/cream, my hands are still feel dry after it absorbs.

I dislike the greasy feeling left on my hands after using a lotion/cream, but after trying my extra virgin olive oil, I definitely feel a huge difference.  You only need a tiny amount (approx. a quarter size dot), and rub it in well after you’ve washed & dried your hands.  Within minutes, the olive oil will absorb, leaving your hands moisturized and feeling luxurious!  Try it next time you’re working in the kitchen.

Although, I don’t recommend using your super expensive extra virgin olive oil blends, you can always find an inexpensive one at your local grocery or drugstore.
