Today is officially Earth Day, so we’ve decided to give you a couple of ideas, on how you can be more eco-chic! You don’t have to change your entire lifestyle, but try incorporating small eco friendly activities in your daily life.   I’ve already incorporated many of these changes, and I’ve not only saved $$$, but I’m in better shape (physically & mentally).

Eco Tip 1. Buy your produce @ a local Farmer’s Market.

Eco Tip 2. Choose a fuel efficient, hybrid, or an electric car.

- Smaller (and lighter) cars, will consume less/no gas.

Eco Tip 3. Bike or walk one day a week, instead of driving.

It was officially time to re-stock some make-up items, so I took a stroll down to South Coast Plaza to visit the Dior booth.  To my surprise, they are having a very special gift w/purchase promotion.  I like to keep my make-up & skincare nice and tidy when I travel, so this adorable Dior hanging pouch is perfect!

Did you know the water used in your shower/bath is full of chlorine and many other toxic chemicals?  The problem is, we don’t have control over our water source, but we can reduced/remove some of the junk that’s in it!  Based on many studies, people spend multi-millions each year on bottled water, for fear of consuming toxic chemicals.  I think people need to be aware that we bathe in the same chemicals everyday, and it is being absorbed through our skin and also through inhalation.

I live in LA, and recently noticed a strong chlorine smell every time I got out of the shower.  It never bothered me before, but now I’ve also noticed that my skin is very dry and my hair feels more rough than usual.  I did a good amount of research online about shower filters, and came across really high reviews for a brand called Sprite.  Believe me, I was tempted to spend over $100 for a good shower filter, but many of the fancy looking ones really lacked in performance (based on consumer reviews).

As seasons change, you should play up your perfume to match!  In the fall/winter, I tend to go with soft sweet spices, with notes of peach or plums.  My top 2 fall/winter fragrances are Dior J’adore & Chanel Allure.  For Spring/Summer, I usually go with something sweeter like Viva La Juicy or Mangosteen by Fresh.
