It has been a fun filled month of back to back events.  Our Pop Up Lash Bar in San Diego was a hit!  This exclusive beauty mixer was hosted by Youtube Personalities Pursebuzz and Enkore Makeup.  Guests were treated to hair styling, mini massages, and a tour of the gorgeous Bellus Academy.  With Hello Kitty cupcakes, sparkly trinkets by Violet Voss, and pink decor to match, this event was contagiously cute.

VIP guests were treated to complimentary lashes & application, and several lucky attendees got the chance to have their lashes done too!  We had a great time meeting new and old friends, and look forward to our next Pop Up Lash Bar stop in Los Angeles.

The Pop Up Lash Bar is making a stop at the World of Dance in Los Angeles at the LA Convention Center.  Come see your favorite celebrity dance crews perform, get your hair done at Paul Mitchell, then come by our Lash Bar booth to get dolled up! We will be equipped with a special vanity mirror provided by Vanity Girl Hollywood, a brand loved and used by celebrities with the likes of Kim Kardashian and Mariah Carey.

Thousands of women and industry professionals have tried our lashes and are simply amazed at how natural false lashes can look on.  Did we mention celebrities love them too?!

Lash Royalty would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who came out to the in-store promotion at Skins 62 Cosmetics at The Cosmopolitan Hotel – Las Vegas.  We had visitors from all around the US to include: UNL, UCLA, USC, USF, UNLV, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Miami, and New York.

From 1-5pm, customers were treated to complimentary lash applications by LR Glam Artist, Meghann.  Several clients were also treated to a full makeover, courtesy of Skins 62 Cosmetics by in-house MUA Jay. Clients left Skins 62 with celebrity worthy lashes, big smiles, and ready for their night out at The Cosmopolitan Hotel.

BC Jean, is an American singer-songwriter and pop/rock singer, best known for writing and recording the first version of the Beyonce hit single, “If I Were a Boy”.

BC will be performing at the LA Marathon Finish Line Festival at the Santa Monica Pier on March 20th. We are so excited that she will be rocking Lash Royalty Lashes on-stage!

This event is free to the public, so we encourage you to come out to cheer for the marathon runners, and also catch a glimpse of BC Jean performing live!

The star studded Miami Fashion Week, was complete with the exclusive runway show with Lady Gaga’s meat dress designer, Franc Fernandez. STK restaurant served as the background to this unique, and sizzling hot fashion show.  Fashion Designer Martin Capristan of CAPRISTAN also showcased his latest Spring 2011 collection.  The biggest hit of the evening, were the sexy & stylish matching coverups by Capristan.  It is definitely a look some of the the ladies of The Real Housewives of Miami, could pull off.

Models strutted down the runway wearing fashion by Capristan Swimwear, jewelry by Follow the Sun Boutique in Miami, and sexy lashes by Lash Royalty.

This was our 1st time attending The Makeup Show in LA, and it was definitely an eye opening experience.  Yves Saint Laurent, Stila, Eve Pearl, Temptu, and Makeup Forever were in attendance, showing the newest latest collections and also featuring demos by their talented makeup artists.

Our Top Brand/Products Picks:

-  Our favorite new cosmetic brand is Inglot Cosmetics.  We hear that they have the best pigment colors around, with these cute modular palettes you can create in a number of configurations.

-  The Diamond Perfect Finish Powder by Purely Cosmetics, create a luxurious and flawless finish.  We highly recommend this.

-  Concealer is something we take seriously, and Eve Pearl takes the win for this category.  The coverage was perfect, smooth, and looked extremely natural.

-   For supple and a fresh complexion, try the Glycolic Pumpkin Peel by Jeune d’ âge.  Did we mention it’s organic and is packed with antioxidants?!

Sightings:

The best part of the show was actually meeting some of the biggest Blog/Youtube personalities with the likes of Elessa from Pursebuzz, Koren from Enkore Makeup, Rae from Raeview, Michael from The Sublime Agent, and Queen of Blending.  We also had a chance to mingle with top Makeup Artists, Kat Aragon, Victoria Stiles, and Grace Chun for Eve Pearl Cosmetics.

It was a great show, and we’re definitely looking forward to the next show!

*** Updated 3/24/11  Looks like Lash Royalty popped up as one of Enkore Makeup’s top beauty picks from The Makeup Show!  We are thrilled to be included, since there were tons of amazing products at the show.

TV Starlet Kim Kardashian is known and loved for her flawless and beautiful makeup.  By popular request, we have enlisted the expertise of Professional Makeup Artist Naomi Lynn, to recreate Kim’s gorgeous makeup look.  All products suggested by Naomi are from MAC, unless stated otherwise.

Eyes

Start by priming the eyes with MAC Paints in Bare Canvas. Although it is considered an eyeshadow, it wears well as a primer because of its powdery finish and crease-free formula. For best application, use a 252 (large shadow brush).

Next, using a 224 brush (blending brush), create a natural crease using Soft Brown eyeshadow. Then, take your 242 brush (small shadow brush) & lightly apply Orb eyeshadow on the inner lid. For a natural highlight, using the same brush, bring Orb into the inner tear duct.

We all know that Kim Kardashian loves a smokin’ smokey eye, so using a mid-tone brown, like Folie eyeshadow as your bottom liner really gives the eyes that soft, sultry look Kim is known for. For best application, use a 219 brush.

This look is the perfect example of how to combine a classic eye and a smokey eye and make them a ultra sexy, yet classy everyday look.

Alas, the star of the show (as usual) her lashes! Kim Kardashian’s 2nd claim to fame, those sexy thick, plush, lashes! Pair the Luxe-1 lashes (by Lash Royalty) with a rich, black liner such as Smolder Eye Kohl for the ultimate eye-catching look.

Complexion

What better way to “Prep and Prime” the skin than with Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder. This powder is sure to have you looking picture purrrfect in no time. Its claim to fame is reducing redness or blochiness, minimizing the appearance of pores and leaving the skin looking and feeling silky and, its suitable for all skin types. For best application apply with a 187 brush. Next, using a 190 brush apply Studio Sculpt foundation for camera ready skin. A medium buildable coverage foundation with a satin finish and its water resistant. Its long-wearing formula keeps you looking fresh faced and runway ready at anytime!

Blush Bronzer

On the outer perimeters of the face apply Refined Golden bronzer. For a touch of colour use Gingerly blush on the apples of the cheek.

Lips

As we know, Kim Kardashian put “the perfect nude lip” on the map! Her favorite nude lip consists of Stripdown lip linerand Angel lipstick. By combining the brown, nude liner such as Stripdown with a frosty, pink lipstick, on her skin, gives the perfect nude lip. For a touch of sass apply Prr lipglass to the center of the lips.
